Data sources and listing removal
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This page is for listing authors and rights holders. It explains where our listings come from, what we do with them, and how to take yours down.
Where listings come from
Chilli Villi is a search service. We do not accept listings from users and publish nothing ourselves. We find already-published rental listings for Bali in open sources: Telegram channels, groups and communities on social networks, and classified sites — wherever their authors posted them.
We collect only what is published openly and readable without special permission. We do not access private conversations and do not collect data the author did not publish.
What we do with them
We normalise listings: extract price, area, number of bedrooms and features, convert prices to a single currency, merge repeat postings of the same house into one card, and remove duplicate photos.
We keep the link to the original source and show it to users, so they can see where a listing came from and whom to contact.
We do not edit the meaning of a listing, do not change prices, and do not present anyone else's listing as our own.
If a listing is yours and you do not want it here
Write to [email protected] with "Listing removal" in the subject. Include a link to the card on our site (or to the listing at the source) and briefly confirm the listing is yours.
We remove the card within 5 business days. No reason is needed, and no proof of title either: we take your word for it.
If you would rather your listings never enter the catalog at all, say so — we will add your contact or source to an exclusion list, and repeat postings will not be collected.
Important: we remove the card on our side. The original stays where you published it and must be removed separately, with that platform. If the original stays available and you did not ask to be added to the exclusion list, the listing may re-enter the catalog the next time we scan the source.
If you own the photographs or the text
Write to [email protected] with "Copyright" in the subject. State exactly which material and where it appears on our service, and confirm your rights in it.
We remove the material within 5 business days. If the matter is disputed, we take it down while it is being resolved.
If the card has the details wrong
We structure listings automatically and sometimes get it wrong: the wrong area, price or bedroom count, or two different houses merged into one card.
Write to [email protected] and we will fix it. These requests are handled in the normal course, within 3 business days.
What we cannot do
We cannot remove a listing at its source — we have no access to it.
We cannot tell you which users viewed your card.
We do not pass your contacts to anyone other than service users who need them to reach you about renting. If someone contacts you about something else, tell us — that breaches our rules and we will act on it.
