1. Who we are and what the service is

The Chilli Villi service is the chillivilli.com website and the Telegram bot. It is provided by a private individual, the owner of the Chilli Villi project ("we", "the service"). The user is you ("you").

The service is an informational search engine. We find publicly posted rental listings for Bali, gather them into a single catalog, merge duplicates of the same property, structure the description, and provide search, filters and notifications over that catalog.

A listing is an offer to rent published by a third party that we found and displayed. The listing author is whoever published it.

2. What the service does not do — please read this section

We are not a party to any transaction between you and a listing author. We are not a real-estate agency, agent, broker or intermediary. We do not own properties, do not rent them out, do not show them, do not book them, do not take payment for them and earn no commission on your rental.

We do not verify listings. We do not confirm that a property exists, that it is available, that the stated price is current, that the photos match reality, that the author is entitled to rent it out, or that they are who they claim to be. Catalog information reproduces the source and may be inaccurate, outdated or untrue.

All negotiations, viewings, agreements, payments, deposits and any other actions happen between you and the listing author directly, without us, and you take them at your own risk. We strongly recommend inspecting the property in person, not paying anything up front before a viewing, and putting agreements in writing.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We give no warranties, express or implied, as to the content of the catalog, its completeness, currency or fitness for your purposes, or as to uninterrupted operation of the service.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or older to use the service. By registering you confirm that you are and that you have capacity to enter into contracts.

An account is created via Telegram or another supported sign-in method. You are responsible for access to your account and for everything done through it.

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. The procedure and timelines are in the Privacy Policy.

4. What you may and may not do

You may use the service for personal purposes: to look for a place for yourself, save options, receive notifications, and contact listing authors about renting.

You may not: collect data from the service by automated means (scraping, parsing, bulk copying of the catalog) without our written permission; reproduce, resell or pass to third parties the contacts and catalog content obtained here; use listing authors' contacts for mailings, advertising or offers unrelated to renting a specific property; place a load that interferes with the service; circumvent free-tier limits, including through multiple accounts; impersonate anyone; or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Breaching this section is grounds for us to restrict or terminate your access without refunding the current period.

5. Free and paid access

The basics — catalog, search, filters, photos, browsing cards — are free.

Paid features are: the listing author's contact and the link to the original source; notifications about new matches for a saved search; keeping more than one saved search at a time.

Which features are paid, the plans, payment procedure, access period and refund terms are set out in the Public Offer. During the launch period access may be provided free of charge — then nothing is payable, and the current terms are shown in the bot.

6. Rights in the content

Rights in listing texts and photographs belong to their authors or other rights holders. We display that material as a search service, to the extent needed for search, and claim no rights in it.

Rights in the service itself — the interface, search logic, design, logo, name and catalog structure — belong to us.

If you are a listing author or the owner of a photograph and want the material removed, see the "Data sources and listing removal" page. We remove on request and do not ask for a reason.

7. Liability

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions or good faith of listing authors, or for the content of their listings.

We are not liable for losses you incur from a transaction with a listing author or from relying on catalog information — including lost prepayments, deposits, travel costs and lost profit.

We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss or source unavailability.

Where liability does arise, it is capped in aggregate at the amount you actually paid for the subscription for the current paid period. If nothing was paid, the service was provided free of charge and no financial liability arises.

The limitations in this section apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law; where your local law does not permit them, they apply to the extent it allows.

8. Changes and discontinuation

We keep developing the service and may change what it includes, including the set of free features, and may suspend or discontinue it.

These terms may change. The current version is always published on this page with its update date. We will announce material changes in advance, in the bot or on the site. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.

We may restrict or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or where the law requires it.

9. Governing law and disputes

While no legal entity is registered, this document designates neither a governing law nor a competent court: the country of registration is not settled yet, and naming one at random means naming the wrong one. Until registration, disagreements are settled in the first instance by correspondence at [email protected]. Once registration happens, the governing law and the forum will be stated in this section.

If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of your country of residence apply to you in any case — nothing in these terms overrides them.

Before going to court, write to [email protected] — almost everything gets solved in a few emails.

10. Service details

Who provides the service: a private individual, the owner of the Chilli Villi project.

No legal entity has been registered for the project yet: the service has no registration number and no registered address, and we do not put a guess in their place.
